Fortunately for me I was no stranger to adoption. I was adopted and my mother, my sister and my aunt have all placed a baby for adoption. It didn’t make my decision any easier, I was just more familiar with the process. I knew a lot more clearly than some, that placing your baby for adoption doesn’t mean giving up on your baby, it just means you want a better life for your baby.

Thinking of my options due to an unplanned pregnancy, I came to the adoption journey scared, feeling alone, and no where to turn. After talking to and meeting with Christy, my fears and uncertainty seems to disappear. She reassured me that the adoption plan could be anything I wanted, that this was my baby and I could choose what I wanted. I never felt judged or that anyone would be upset with me if I decided to parent my child.

Mike and I wanted to take a minute and express our gratitude and appreciation to Adoption Choices staff who took time out of their lives to help us. Thanks to all of your help and donations, we have a place to actually call home and are able to live comfortably – something we honestly had lost all hope in seeing. You all have truly turned our lives around and have done so much more than help us get back on our feet.
